Studio Policies


Lessons


Piano lessons are usually 30 minutes - 1 hour in length and are expected to start and end at the scheduled time. For lesson extensions, please discuss and seek approval from Lauren beforehand. 



Cancellation/ Late Arrival Policy


Please give a minimum of 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. This allows us to use the time for other students. Any unnoticed or non-approved missed sessions will be billed for the full cost of the scheduled session.


Students who arrive late for a scheduled lesson will meet with their instructor for whatever allotted time remains of their session and then be billed for the cost of the full scheduled lesson.   



Make-Up Lessons


We understand that life can be unpredictable, so we offer a maximum of two make-up lessons per term for studio-approved cancellations (See "Cancellation/ Late Arrival Policy" for details)
 
Please make sure to schedule and complete all make-up lessons by the end of the respective term. When requesting lesson times, kindly consider this policy. No refund will be made for lesson(s) missed in the previous term.



Fees


Our private lesson fees vary depending on the teacher you choose. To learn more about the rates for individual teachers, please contact us at keyonstudio@gmail.com.



Payment Details


Payment is due at the start of every 6 sessions. Please see below for the specific dates for each instalment period. Payments may be made via e-transfer at the beginning of each month to our Studio email address: oneling05@yahoo.com. Below is the payment schedule for this current year: 
 


  • Week of September 2, 2024
  • Week of October 14, 2024
  • Week of November 25, 2024
  • Week of January 6, 2025
  • Week of February 17, 2025
  • Week of March 31, 2025
  • Week of May 12, 2025
  • Week of June 23, 2025 (note: lessons beyond June 23 will be billed and included in the July invoice)

* Important Note: Please kindly inform us of any schedule conflict (e.g. school activities/ travel plans) before the invoice gets issued. Invoices are scheduled to be issued 2 days before the instalment dates listed above.


Withdrawal


Please provide a two-week written notice for withdrawal on private lesson. A refund will be made on the remaining unused credit less two weeks tuition.

Studio Etiquette


As our studio space is limited, we kindly request that you arrive only for your designated lesson time. When in the waiting room, please be considerate of other students who may be having their lessons in the back studio and keep noise and traffic to an absolute minimum.


Class Attendance


All Theory/History and Music Adventure classes require mandatory attendance and are non-refundable.


Private Instrumental Instruction


For private instrumental instruction, we require a commitment for the entire term. Reimbursements will only be considered in the case of a genuine emergency. Your understanding is greatly appreciated.




Media Release Agreement


I hereby grant permission to KeyOn Music Studio to use my/my child’s photographs and/or videos for the purpose of posting on the Studio’s official Instagram, Facebook, and website.
I understand and agree that the photos and videos may be used for promotional and educational purposes, including but not limited to showcasing my/my child’s progress, performances, and achievements as a student at KeyOn Music Studio.
 

I further acknowledge that my consent extends to any employees, representatives, or agents of KeyOn Music Studio for the use of these materials.

I understand that my consent is voluntary and that I will not receive any financial compensation or royalty for the use of these photos and videos.

I also grant permission for KeyOn Music Studio to edit, crop, modify, or otherwise alter the photos and videos as deemed necessary for their intended use.

I hereby release and discharge KeyOn Music Studio from any and all claims, demands, actions, or causes of action arising out of the use of the photographs and videos, including any claims for invasion of privacy or defamation.

I certify that I am the legal parent or guardian of the student, or I am the adult student, and that I have read and fully understand the contents of this media release consent form.
